I have local database where I insert some data and I want this data to be available also in cloud. As a lazy guy I don’t want to synchronize data manually. After setting up local and cloud databases I activated Azure Data Sync to just find out that it conflicts with EF7 insert and update queries. As I don’t have many tables and my database is pretty small I invented simple workaround.

I’m building web application for customer and there is requirement that users must be able to import data in different formats. In this posting I will show you how to build generic importers support to your web application.

My current project required a way for exporting data to Excel. I could of course write a separate export method for every data set but in my opinion it would be a pointless waste of time. I would also like to utilise the existing functionality as much as possible – as it is, the lists going to Excel are displayed to the user in the browser.
